The British Council invited UK DJ Nick Luscombe to South Africa – as part of the Connect ZA project – to research the current music landscape and discover emerging trends and best new music and artists. This podcast is a result of that journey and offers a refreshed perception of the South African music scene, with new voices and perspectives.
Discover the new sounds of South Africa’s thriving and diverse music scene, from electro and jazz to post rock and futuristic hip hop.
Connect ZA is a cross-artform project taking place in 2014 and led by the British Council, connecting young people aged between 18 and 35 in the UK and South Africa through creativity.
